One cubic yard covers approximately 80-100 square feet at a 3-inch depth. We recommend using a landscape fabric before placing your stone to prevent weed growth underneath. Input your dimensions into our calculator to find the exact amount of material you need.

Available by the cubic yard for pickup or delivery. No minimum order for pickup. Delivery available throughout the greater Chicopee and Springfield area. Split-load delivery available — combine stone with mulch, topsoil, or other materials in one trip. One cubic yard of stone weighs approximately 2,700 lbs.

Installation Tips

Prepare the area by removing existing vegetation, debris, and loose soil. Lay landscape fabric over the cleared surface to prevent weed growth underneath the stone. Spread stone evenly to a depth of 2–3 inches for decorative beds, or 3–4 inches for walkways and high-traffic areas. Use edging or borders to keep stone contained and maintain clean lines. For base and utility stone, compact thoroughly with a plate compactor for a stable foundation.
