How do I install pavers?
See our How To section.

Do you install O.N.E. products?
We do not do installations directly from O.N.E., but we have a convenient referral list that we offer to our customers; see Finding a Contractor in our How To section.

Can homeowners install O.N.E. materials?
This often depends on the skill and patience of the homeowner. Most of our products can be installed by a patient homeowner following the proper instructions. See our How To section. Some installments such as full sized veneer, are best left to skilled masons. Also, the warranties on some of the paving products are only valid if set up by certified product technicians of their products.

How deep should I layer my mulch and stone?
Industry standards recommend 4” for the initial coverage and 2” for refreshing existing mulch. Stone coverage should be 3” minimum.

Does mulch attract bugs?
O.N.E. mulch is bug free when purchased. If bugs appear once it’s spread, they were in the area before the mulch was laid. Our mulch is not treated with insecticide, but cedar is often considered a natural insect repellent.

Is your mulch treated with insecticide?
O.N.E. mulch is free from additives except for non-toxic color enhancement on some varieties.

Do stone walls have to be mortared?
They can be, but dry laid stone walls have been landmarks of the New England countryside since colonial days. See our How To Build a Dry Stone Wall page.

What type of gravel do you have for patios and walls?
Crushed base gravel is recommended for patio and walkway bases and trap rock is recommended for drainage behind walls. See available types in Sand & Gravel.

Does O.N.E. sell any kind of asphalt product to repair driveways?
O.N.E. is the New England producer of EZ STREET Cold Asphalt. Available in bags or bulk, it is a polymer-modified asphalt, that works in water, and can be used any time of year.
